Social media is the perfect place to develop an online personality, leveraging yourself as a leader and expert. Aim to strike a balance of reliable content and friendly interactions to showcase your agency in a good light.

Invest in Online Strategies

Don’t stop at social media when it comes to your digital marketing strategy. Instead, decide to invest in a well developed and well-branded website. Keep your website simple while making sure your content is optimized for search engines so that new customers in your area can find you. Beyond your website, you can experiment with strategic email drip campaigns so that new referrals, clients, and even caregiver applicants can get to know more about you and your agency.

Automate Recruitment

When it comes to getting new caregiver applicants, make it as easy as possible. Create a job post on your social media feeds and be sure to renew it monthly. Then, create an easy way for applicants to directly apply right on your agency’s website so that you capture and maintain their interest. Keep your careers webpage updated at all times and have a strong call to action to encourage browsers to fill out an application before they leave your site.

Find a Mentor or Inspiration Group

If you want your home care business to succeed, you need others who guide you forward and keep you encouraged. If you don’t have one already, find a Mentor who can meet you for coffee a few times per quarter and be your sounding board for problems you are facing. A Mentor can be an invaluable resource, and you don’t even have to find someone in the home care industry. Anyone with a successful business can provide advice and guidance that you can apply to your agency.

If a Mentor relationship isn’t one you are interested in, try joining a professional networking group that meets regularly. This isn’t a networking group, but is instead a group of professionals who talk about challenges candidly and brainstorm solutions.

Your home care business doesn’t have to rely on doing things the way they have always been done. Try something new! You will be surprised at the results.
